:...the Z isn't made for that. Just like the Mustang, Camaro guys, the only fast eclipse/talon/laser's are at the drag strip. Try running one of those TTZ's on the highway where real power come into play and see what happens. Your fast ET's are all in the launch, no top end due to drivetrain loss of your AWD. I admit, Z's are very poor dragsters because they don't launch as well but I didn't buy my Z to drag. If wanted to drag, I would've bought a Supra. I couldnt agree more.
if the Z were lighter/more balanced and the rear supension was 'correct' for drag racing, I dont think I'd have a real problem with drag racing.
the car really is just too heavy, and the suspension is FLAT WRONG for drag racing. Albeit, I understand that overcoming these short comings is part of the game, they sure are serious short comings (imho).
the Z32 just makes a better road course cruiser then a drag racer.
